Efficient Processing

The type of cord blood processing method will be used by us is PrepaCyte-CB premium processing. PrepaCyte-CB is a newly established advanced technology for processing cord blood cells. Incord will embrace this superior technology as it enables the extraction of maximum number of healthy stem cells. It also helps in eliminating the maximum number of unnecessary red blood cells over all other methods.

PrepaCyte-CB

A superior processing technology which help to harvest maximum number of healthy stem cells and removes maximum number of red blood cells over all other methods.

PrepaCyte-CB Advantages

➦Compared to other cord blood banks’ processing techniques, PrepaCyte-CB recovers considerably more viable stem cells. PrepaCyte-CB retrieved the highest proportion of colony-forming stem cells (CFUs), collecting 70% more than the AutoXpress (AXP)2 approach utilised by other cord blood banks and 51% more than the conventional HES1 method.

PrepaCyte-CB also reduces red blood cell (RBC) contamination. Lesser red blood cells post-processing equals lessor harmful side elements. AXP can reduces the red blood cells by up to 70 percent, HES can reduce quantity by as much as to 82%, while Sepax can minimise RBCs by as much as to 84.7%; however, PrepaCyte can eliminate up to 99% of red blood cell contamination.

PrepaCyte-CB premium processing technology has proven to lead to earlier engraftment. Engraftment is when the blood-forming cells you received on the day of transplant begin to multiply and regenerate healthy blood cells. It’s a significant milestone in a patient’s post-transplant recovery. An earlier engraftment time where chemotherapy or other immune-system-altering treatments are used, means the patient will spend less time in the crucial stage where they lack an immune system capable of combating pathogens.  Additionally, it may include spending less time in the hospital and experiencing less anxiety while waiting for the patient’s recovery.

5 - Chamber Storage Bag

Incord Foundation is looking forward to using a five-compartment cord blood freezer bag which allows for multiple uses of the baby’s cord blood stem cells. Additionally, it functions with other innovative process improvements in combination. According to the preliminary tests, the five-chamber bag and other proprietary modifications have enhanced stem cell feasibility by 10 percent. Better feasibility persuades parents to trust Incord Foundation much with their cord blood collection.

The doctor will collect the cord blood in the single bag provided in our comprehensive collection kit. After the baby is delivered, the cord blood should be collected, and the doctor should be encouraged to fill the bag as completely as possible. Once after the cord blood has reached to our facility, a pathologist from Incord will then start processing and split the specimen into five equal compartments. The method of processing and the actual type of cryo-preserving of cord blood cells hasn’t changed.

Many patients worry about the number of times they will be able to utilise the babies’ cord blood cell collection. They are aware that cord blood stem cells can be useful not only for the donor but also for other members of the public. For greater safety, many millennial members would prefer to have the option of multiple doses. These concerns have been addressed with the use of new multi-channel freezer bag. It will open up new options and provide flexibility for the usage of the baby’s cord blood stem cells. The stem cells can now be used by more patients for multiple clinical purposes and we can still save additional stem cells for future use.

Additionally, having several compartments gives doctors more alternatives. The use of a single collection can be advantageous whether it is divided over several treatments or used all at once. This design opens the door for future advancements outside the body for expansion of stem cells. Several clinical studies confirm various cell growth strategies that are now being conducted. (One recent study found a molecule, UM171, that can enable “robust” expansion of cord blood stem cells.) The multi-chamber cryo-preservation bag will give researchers, doctors and patients more alternatives and the potential for extended cord blood cells usage when such procedures will be firmly established.

Next Generation Vapour Storage

What is Vapour Phase Storage?

Vapour phase storage is the most cutting-edge cryogenic preservation technology available till date. In vapour phase storage, cryogenically-preserved samples are suspended in liquid nitrogen vapour which prevents samples coming in contact with each other. At Incord, Stem Cell samples will be preserved in liquid nitrogen vapour phase containers. We guarantee exclusive use of premium next-generation vapour phase storage for all cord blood storage Bags.

Benefit of Vapour Phase Storage

Conventional storage technologies use liquid storage tanks where cord blood samples submerge in the same liquid. A micro-fissure in one of the bags has the potential to contaminate all the samples that are kept in the same liquid containers. Although some labs double-bag their samples in an effort to lower this risk, the risk nonetheless exists.

The most recent storage method suspends cord blood samples in a vapour of liquid nitrogen using advanced computer-controlled vapour phase tanks. Since the samples are not in direct contact with one another or the same storage liquid, the possibility of cross-contamination from other samples is almost eliminated by this cutting-edge technology.

Our approach is clear. And, when it comes to the most valuable aspects, we can offer the best compatible Stem Cells through our commitment to quality. As a result, there will be better treatment outcomes, less stress and perhaps even lifesaving.
